The Dave Black Expression is a studio band design to bring fresh new music onto the scene. We write original and are not bound to agreements as we are an independent group.  We challenge ourselves to create new music often blending various styles into one.  

We started by doing country based music on our first album July 2023 w My Rear View Mirror and we then wrote a reggae song just to try something new and we later put out or 2nd album in January 2024 titled Genre Jump’n fool. it was just that an album with 9 different genres of songs from rock to country, reggae to new wave from ballad to americana.

Luma Knotty is a WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award-winning Green Bay band known for their original blend of guitar-driven funk, rock, and reggae. Founded in 2017 by guitarist Ryan Patrick with the idea to fuse his musical roots in blues and funk rock with his training from McNally Smith College of Music and his years of experience in roots reggae. While writing original music/lyrics, Ryan wanted to create a more modern approach to reggae, setting the vibe using vibrant stage designs. Luma Knotty was awarded the 2019 WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award in the World/ Reggae/ Ska/ Latin category. Their first EP ‘Sounds of Earth’ was released in February 2020 and their newest album ‘Bring the Light’ was released on January 30, 2023 and is available on all streaming platforms.

They have opened for such bands as: EN Young, Boulevards, Sophistafunk, and Baba Commandant & The Mandingo Band. They play such events as: Mile of Music, Electric City Experience in Kaukauna, Oshkosh Main Street Music Fest, All Bands on Deck Music Festival in Green Bay, Badger State Brewing Summer Concert Series, Levitt Amp Stevens Point Music Series, Vibin’ in the Pines Music Festival in Rosholt, World Naked Bike Ride Milwaukee, and Bastille Days in Milwaukee, as well as featured numerous times on 105.7 WAPL and WCZR Code Zero Radio.
